The inspiration for the name Divergent Roads Counseling began during my high school years when I first heard The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. The poems message about the significance of lifes choices and the courage to follow ones own path resonated deeply with me.
As I envisioned my future as a mental health therapist, I knew I wanted to create a practice that would honor the unique journey each person takes. Just as Frosts poem reminds us that every road represents a choice, I believe counseling provides a space to explore life's crossroads with hope, clarity and confidence.
The name Divergent Roads Counseling reflects that philosophy. Every individuals path is different and there is no single "right" road. My goal is to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges, embrace change and move toward a future that aligns with their values and aspirations. What began as inspiration from a poem in high school ultimately became the foundation for a practice dedicated to helping others find their own way forward.
